Alexander Technique Lessons in Crouch End, Finsbury Park and Muswell Hill
I am a fully-qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique and a member of STAT. I teach students primarily from the North London areas of Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Highgate, Hampstead, Finsbury Park, Islington and Wood Green. I am also the Alexander Technique practicioner at The Royal Free Hospital and have also taught at Trinity College of Music. I hold monthly introductory workshops on the Alexander Technique and have also given workshops at the Purcell School, Bhavan Indian Music School and to the pain management clinic of the Royal Free Hospital.
In addition, I am an experienced singer and have also been teaching voice and piano for the past twelve years. I am particularly interested in the application of the Technique to music and singing.
The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) was founded in the UK in 1958. Teaching members (MSTAT) are certified to teach the Technique after successfully completing a three-year, full- time course approved by the Society and adhere to the Society's published code of Professional Conduct and hold professional indemnity insurance.
My profile in the Crouch End Ham & HighIt gives us all the things we have been looking for in a system of physical education: relief from strain due to maladjustment, and consequent improvement in physical and mental health ... and a general heightening of consciousness on all levels.
